With over fifteen years of criminal and civil law experience in the many aspects of our justice system, Rich is ready to serve our community on day one. For nearly ten years, Rich has served as Court Attorney in the busiest trial court in Monroe County, where he advises judges on every legal issue a Pittsford Town Justice will encounter. Due to his legal expertise, he is often called upon to present legal trainings for local town court justices and other judges throughout the State.

Prior to becoming a Court Attorney, Rich served as a Public Defender for more than five years protecting the Constitutional rights of the most vulnerable in our community on cases ranging from minor offenses to homicides.

The Right Choice

Rich serves in various leadership roles within the courts on the local and statewide level to improve the court system, including the criminal standards and goals committee and the civil alternative dispute resolution committee. In these roles, he has ensured justice, equality, and compassion for all. Rich has also championed numerous initiatives to make the court system easier to navigate for all people. To name a few, he helped create simplified court forms for use in many different legal proceedings and worked closely with judges to implement virtual court appearances.
